Amelia comes from London, UK, and moved to Aarhus twice, once in 2013 and again in 2016. She has a bachelors from University College London, and a Masters from University of Cambridge where she read Old Norse and Viking Studies (Yes! You read that correctly). She has worked with children for many years in different aspects: from a trained SEN OTO, to a ballet school teaching assistant, teaching English online, and childcare. When she is not doing fun and creative things in the ASA room, you can often find her reading a book in the park, riding her bike around the city, organising TEDxAarhus events, dancing ballet or ballroom, writing books with Aarhus’ Women Writing Club, hiking and camping in remote nature, or taking a gander around new exhibitions.
