The newest restrictions as announced by the Ministry last week now need to be implemented at AIS. Please note the following points.

1. PYP 1-3 will remain open as scheduled. All classes and daily routines will be maintained. The supervision of children at Winter Camp over the holiday will take place for those children who have been signed up.

2. PYP 4 – MYP 5 will move to online education for the dates of December 15-17, 2021 and again for January 3-4, 2022. Please keep in mind that these (3+2) are transitional days before and following a vacation and instruction will be patterned accordingly. Wednesday and Thursday (Dec. 15+16) will be regular education but Friday’s instruction will be limited to one period. It is planned that in-person education will then resume again on Wednesday 5 January 2022 at the Dalgas campus.

3. ASA and at the Dalgas Avenue campus will be closed and no activities will take place. This means there will be no winter break childcare for students between the dates of December 20, 2021 through 4 January 2022.
4. Emergency care for students in PYP 4-8 can be provided according to the guidelines if the school is notified of this need in writing by noon on Monday 13 December 2021.

We hope the above causes only the minimum of inconveniences and serves as one more step taken to slow down and reduce the current number of Covid infections.
