URGENT UPDATE: Online education to continue for a further 3 weeks.
Students in PYP4-MYP5 are to follow online education for a further 3 weeks (Jan. 15- Feb. 7). In-person education at school will not take place. This announcement comes as a result of yesterday’s press conference held by the Prime Minister on January 13th 2021.
MYP 1-5: Students will continue with online education from now through Sunday 7th Febuary 2021. The teachers will deliver instruction via distance learning. The schedules and procedures for distance learning in MYP will follow the routines established in the last week before Christmas.
PYP 4-8: Students will continue with online education which started on Wednesday 6 January and continuing through until Sunday 7th Febuary 2021.
PYP 1-3: Students at the Bushojvaenget campus will return to school on 4 January 2021. We look forward to welcoming these students back at the regular opening hours. The normal schedule of classes will be followed and ASA will also operate according to their regular schedule.
Note: Emergency child care for front line, essential workers is available upon request. To access this service, parents are requested to contact Charlotte Jessen firstname.lastname@example.org in writing.
We realize the online form of education will place further demands on parents to support and monitor their child’s learning and would like already now to express our thanks for your willingness to help your child meet with success under these distance learning conditions. MYP and PYP teachers and administrators are also working closely together to continuously update and improve the methods used to make online learning as effective as possible. It is hoped that our efforts together with yours will continue to make education at AIS a positive and meaningful experience.
With best of wishes for the New Year,
